This pair of playful lion cubs are desperate for their tired mother to join their games.
In a delightful series of photographs, the young can be seen leaping into the air together before leaping on their mother’s head and even playfully biting her nose.
Photographer Usha Harish captured the adorable scene as it unfolded in the Masai Mara National Reserve in Nairobi, Kenya.
She said: ‘It was a cloudy morning and the pride of lions called Enkoynyi were out in the wet bushes in the open as it had rained all night. The cubs were all active and it was a beautiful moment to keep watching the little cubs frolicking around the mother. It was a moving experience.
“I loved that the images showed the emotional bond between the mother and the pups. I felt that it is universal to note that maternal love is always unconditional and that children are always mischievous and playful, whether they are animals or humans.”
