When we think about the things we do on a daily basis, most of us would probably say doing the dishes, putting away laundry, or meal prepping — but Miley Cyrus is not like the rest of us.
In a new interview with W Magazine, Miley Cyrus opened up about her daily routines, casually revealing she often “forgets to talk about things that are a normal part of my day-to-day, like texting with Beyoncé.” You know, texting Beyoncé, just a regular, everyday occurrence.
ICYMI: Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé worked “II Most Wanted” together for Bey’s Cowboy Carter album, but apparently, their relationship is way more profound than we’d anticipated. “Over the past couple of years, I’ve really locked down on my privacy and on what I share with the public. She’s the same way,” Cyrus said about Beyoncé. “Part of our relationship is the safety between us. The songwriting or the work is just a small part of my relationship with her. Our personas have a relationship, but then we have a relationship. And I love that.”
Seeing as the two superstars are besties in their own right and text daily, we can’t help but wonder, what exactly do they talk about to be in such constant communication? Well, here are our top 9 wishes guesses.
1. Fashion advice

Okay, aside from music, fashion talk might be the most obvious one, given that both Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé work with the top designers in the world and that their senses of style inspire millions around the world, we sure hope the two send each other OOTDs asking for advice when they are in a rut.
Speaking to W, Cyrus revealed that fashion was low-key the genesis behind their relationship. Beyoncé gifted her a House of Deréon jacket with gold studs spelling her name on the back and personalized jeans for her 16th birthday, which served as inspo for lyrics on her 2019 song “Cattitude.”
2. Mothering

The second most obvious choice is, of course, mothering — in all senses of the word. “Both of us grew up, in our own way, with moms who were everything. My mom was my makeup, hair, seamstress, styling, tour manager — like, the actual manager. The word ‘mother’ is the most all-encompassing word. The mother can be RuPaul; the mother can be Beyoncé. Our fans call us ‘mother,'” Cyrus admitted to W. “With the word ‘mother,’ we can talk about the planet, we can talk about agriculture, we can talk about medicine, we can talk about injustices, reproductive care.”
Being some of the most influential “mothers” in pop culture sure is a responsibility so having someone to share the weight with in the DMs must be fundamental. Plus, with Bey also being a literal mother, who knows, maybe she can also turn to Cyrus for advice on how to appear even cooler in front of her children.
3. Interior design
There comes a point in adulting when décor talk takes over your life — whether your focus is on plants, furniture, wall art, or aesthetic pots and pans. Now, if décor is such an important topic for someone living in an average apartment, imagine the possibilities when you have real estate like Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus do. After all, Beyoncé and Jay-Z did buy the most expensive home in California, so, of course, you are going to turn to your close friends for advice on what to fill it with.
4. Their Grammys snubs
TIMOTHY NORRIS
There’s nothing quite like trauma bonding, and the Grammys have surely given that opportunity to Cyrus and Beyoncé. Speaking to W, Cyrus opened up about her history with the famed awards, saying, “No shade, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and this is my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys? I’ve had a hard time figuring out what the measurement is there, because if we want to talk stats and numbers, then where the f*ck was I? And if you want to talk, like, impact on culture, then where the f*ck was I? This is not about arrogance. I am proud of myself.”

Now, Beyoncé surely resonates with that feeling. Though she’s the artist with the most Grammy wins ever (32, if you are wondering) and the most nominations ever (88, tied with Jay-Z), she has experienced some headline-making snubs in major categories. We can already picture the “Can I vent for a second?” texts.
5. Animals
Now, both Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé are known animal lovers, and they both have favored, ehm, unconventional pets in the past. Cyrus famously had a pet pig called Bubba, who passed away in 2019, and Beyoncé once had a pet snake called Fendi, which, by the way, is an iconic name. Aside from pigs and snakes, both stars have also been seen interacting with dogs multiple times throughout their careers so we sure hope they are exchanging cute pet videos on TikTok as we speak.
6. Southern cuisine
Both Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus hail from the South: the megastar being from Texas and the former Disney star from Tennessee. So, of course, they have to talk about Southern food, right? And our question is, have they or will they ever host a cookout together? If not, this is our formal petition to make that happen.
7. The Stand Up to Cancer performance from 2008

Remember when Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield, Ciara, Ashanti, and many more got together to perform “Just Stand Up!” to raise money for cancer awareness at Fashion Rocks 2008? Of course you do, and so does Miley.
“We performed together when I was really young, probably 14, at the Stand Up to Cancer benefit. I was sandwiched between Beyoncé and Rihanna, who were, you know, five feet ten inches and in heels. Their hips were, like, up to my shoulders. They were these powerful, fully realized, grown women, and I’m pretty sure I had braces on the back of my teeth. They were protective of me,” she told W. If I shared a performance as iconic and defining as this one with a friend, I don’t know about you, but we’d be texting about it to reminisce 24/7.
9. Existential dread (i.e. politics)
Are you truly friends if you don’t share the weight of the world together? Being in the public eye, both stars are always going to be scrutinized for their political views and stances — or lack thereof — but a private channel is a safe space. So hopefully, these two are also discussing these types of issues during such a pivotal year of elections and global crises.
