Heidi Gardner, star of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ has issued a cheeky apology to pop sensation Taylor Swift. The apology came after a sketch aired where Gardner found herself sharing a bed with none other than Taylor’s beau,Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
During an appearance on the ‘Today‘ show, Gardner reminisced about the hilarious behind-the-scenes moment. “It was cool because right before dress rehearsal, we were in a scene where – sorry, Taylor – we were in bed together,” she shared with a mischievous grin. The sketch was all in good fun, but it didn’t stop Gardner from throwing in a playful apology to Swift, sparking laughter from the audience.
Adding to the humor, Gardner revealed a quirky tidbit about Kelce’s diet. “And he leaned over into me right before lights up on the scene and… he told me he’d been eating Uncrustables all day,” she said, revealing the NFL star’s simple and unexpected game day fuel.
Gardner, a self-proclaimed Chiefs fanatic, expressed her excitement about Kelce hosting ‘SNL.’ “I was very protective [of Kelce],” she admitted. Her admiration for the tight end was evident as she went the extra mile to make him feel at home during the show. “I asked him questions, which also as a sports fan I’m just interested in, but I was like, ‘On game day what do you eat?’ And he was like, ‘Uncrustables. I’m just pounding Uncrustables.’ And so the Saturday of the show, I went to the store, I got Uncrustables.”
