Salah has been Liverpool’s top scorer for many years and Klopp enjoys a strong relationship with the Egyptian star. However, that was thrown into doubt in the final weeks of the season when the pair clashed and argued with each other off the pitch during Liverpool’s match against West Ham.
Previously, Klopp played an important role in helping Liverpool retain Salah when a series of top clubs wanted his signature. The Egyptian has always praised Klopp’s coaching style and as a result he has flourished during his time at Anfield.
When Salah extended his contract with Liverpool previously, Klopp said: “Really satisfied. It was the best decision for us and the best decision for Mo Salah. I think Salah belongs to us.
