Australian actress Margot Robbie is the latest in a long line of soap stars to cross the pacific to build a career in America – and she’s well on the way to being a genuine Hollywood star.

Following in the footsteps of Chris Hemsworth, Isla Fisher, Melissa George and Guy Pearce, Margot started her career playing Donna Freedman on Neighbours.

She bagged roles in ill fated Christina Ricci air stewardess TV show Pan Am and Richard Curtis rom-com About Time, but it was her performance in Oscar nominated 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street that brought her to international attention.

This year she’s shortlisted for BAFTA’s Rising Star award – which is voted for by the public – but will she win? Here’s everything you need to know about Margot Robbie.
