Jurgen Klopp – Creator of football stories

Jurgen Klopp had his last match as Liverpool coach on May 19 in the match against Wolves in round 38 of the Premier League . In January, the German strategist confirmed that he was leaving the Anfield team after nearly 9 years of service. Klopp will lead his team to face Wolves in the final match of the 2023-2024 Premier League season when Anfield bids an emotional farewell.

finished this season in 3rd place in the Premier League, with a return to the Champions League next season. Since replacing Brendan Rodgers as Liverpool manager in October 2015, Klopp has won one Premier League title, one FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, one Champions League title and one FIFA Club World Cup.

Klopp did not create a dynasty…

Jurgen Klopp has brought Liverpool back to being a force in English and European football for the first time in three decades. Immediately after helping Liverpool defeat Tottenham to win the Champions League for the 6th time in history, Klopp helped The Kop quench their thirst of not winning the English championship for 30 years by winning the Premier League title the following season.

When Klopp announced he was leaving Liverpool at the start of this season, it was compared to the time Sir Alex Ferguson announced his time at Manchester United was over. Klopp has won the two biggest trophies and a total of eight trophies at Liverpool. It was a fantastic achievement, not least because he spent most of his time at Anfield facing Pep Guardiola and Man City took England by storm.

But will Klopp leave a dynasty behind? No, not even close. Dynasties belong to those who create dominant teams for many years in a row, like Ferguson did and Guardiola is now doing in Manchester. Ferguson has rebuilt three different teams and won 13 Premier League titles, while Guardiola is currently dominating English football with Man City.

… but Klopp brought Liverpool greatness again

However, Klopp has built a title-winning team. That means replacing Klopp will be a difficult job, but replacing Sir Alex Ferguson is impossible. It may be harsh, but true.

But that is also true for Klopp when he not only built a team capable of competing and winning titles, but he also created a unique style of play for Liverpool. Klopp brought pride back to the club. Over the past 12 months, Klopp has once again helped Liverpool return to competing for every title until the end of the season, after a disastrous pre-season.

Jurgen Klopp created “heavy metal” football and is so intertwined with Liverpool’s culture that he has been compared to other beloved sons of the city of Liverpool, “The Beatles”.

To the tune of one of The Beatles’ many legendary songs, Liverpool fans have recreated new lyrics for Jurgen Klopp. “I’m happy that Jurgen Klopp is Liverpool, I’m happy that he conveyed what he said. Jurgen Klopp told me, you know. We will win the Premier League, you know. He said so. I love him.”

Liverpool fans’ love for Klopp is unconditional and eternal, because he is one of them. Klopp ensures that millions of Liverpool supporters across the globe will continue to never walk alone.

Jurgen Klopp may be the underdog (in terms of titles) when facing Guardiola, but he helped Liverpool escape the darkness into the light. The image of the iconic Klopp punching his chest after every Liverpool victory says everything about him: his fighting spirit, burning passion, full of energy, not giving up, despite the majority. His career in the Premier League had to face an unrivaled team called Man City.

That makes Jurgen Klopp one of the most beloved figures English football has ever had the pleasure of seeing. Klopp will greatly miss the Premier League and English football but he will certainly never be forgotten.

An emotional farewell

Jurgen Klopp took a photo with the entire Liverpool team at Anfield for the last time and sent a sincere farewell to the fans. A video shared by Liverpool shows Jurgen Klopp, dressed simply, rushing to Anfield and discovering that the main stand was packed with staff clapping with the desire to say goodbye to the 56-year-old man.

Jurgen Klopp then headed to the stands, where all his major trophies with Liverpool were displayed in a staggered formation between the steps of the stands. Klopp appeared surprised and touched by this situation.

Jurgen Klopp sent a message to Liverpool: “Can you create football stories that surely no one can forget? I knew I loved Liverpool before I signed the contract. It is the greatest honor I can imagine.

This is Kenny Dalglish’s club, Steven Gerrard’s club, Shankly, the Scousers are very open and very warm. The only reason I can do what I do is because everyone shows so much passion. Everyone’s participation was fantastic and the emotions we were able to create in the stadium were emotions that are unique to the people of this city.

These are the moments we will never forget and such is life, find as many of these moments as possible. It is for you and I have the honor of doing it with you.”
