Fans on-board with Sydney Sweeney’s plans to star in movie with Aussie actress Margot Robbie

Sydney Sweeney has revealed which Hollywood star she’d like to work with next – and it’s none other than Margot Robbie.

The Anyone But You star shared her dream of working with the Aussie actress during an interview with Entertainment Tonight to promote her new movie, Immaculate.

Sweeney, 26, has so far received praise for her performance in the horror flick about a nun who embarks on a new journey in a remote convent in the Italian countryside that harbours a sinister secret. She is also an executive producer on the film.

The internet has since compared Sweeney to huge stars, saying Sweeney is “saving the movies like a girl Tom Cruise”, while also likening her dual roles in the film to Robbie’s range in Barbie.

“First of all, I love Margot. I think she’s absolutely incredible and I hope I get to work with her one day,” Sweeney told the outlet.

“And I wanna do all my stunts like Tom Cruise, I wanna do all of it, a thousand per cent. I am such an adrenaline junkie, I would do all of that.”

Fans of both the Euphoria star and Robbie, 33, are going wild over a potential collaboration between the two, urging movie studios to make it happen.

“Please good lord in heaven up above let this movie happen,” one tweeted, while another wrote, “The type of movie I would watch with no hesitation without knowing the plot.”

Some Twitter users even called the pairing a “Dream team, it’s like Kobe and Shaq” while one believes they are “two greatest actresses of my generation teaming up for a movie”.

Fans even went on to suggest they should go “completely against what you’d expect and make a movie like Dumb and Dumber” or even play superhero characters with Margot reprising Harley Quinn and Sweeney taking on the role of Poison Ivy.

A crossover may not be on the radar of some studio bosses after Sweeney and her new superhero film Madame Web, starring Dakota Johnson in the lead, flopped at the box office.
