The Portuguese team at EURO 2016 is not highly appreciated except for owning superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese striker scored 3 important goals to help the home team advance to the Finals.

Facing France, Pepe and his teammates faced many difficulties and suffered another big loss when CR7 had to leave the field due to injury. The Portuguese team then played tenaciously for 90 minutes.

In extra time, striker Éder had a left shot outside the penalty area, leaving French fans speechless. This was also the only goal that helped the Portuguese national team win the tournament in a more dramatic way.

England 1-1 Italy (Pen: 2-3, EURO 2020 Final)

England is clearly the number 1 candidate for EURO 2020 after going straight to the Final without many obstacles. Facing an experienced Italian team, Luke Shaw still helped the home team take the lead early.

However, after a series of missed opportunities. Harry Kane and his teammates conceded a goal in the second half due to midfielder Bonucci.

The Final lasted 120 minutes but could not determine the winner and was forced to use a penalty shootout to find the champion. Fate continued to tease the England team when Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho missed penalties, causing them to lose the match.

The EURO 2008 Final match took place extremely closely, the two teams followed the rules of the game, showing a demanding attitude in each ball deployment.

However, the star moment of Fernando Torres, a player of big matches, brought the only goal of the match, winning the championship for the Gaur team from the hands of Michael Ballack, Miroslav Klose or Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Spain 0-0 Portugal (Pen: 4-2, Semi-finals of EURO 2012)

Despite being rated higher, the Spanish team encountered many difficulties against Portugal, who played closely and contested fiercely.

Cristiano Ronaldo repeatedly made the Spanish defense miserable with many tricky dribbles and decisive finishes.

Both teams “tit for tat” throughout the 120 minutes of play and were forced to take each other into a penalty shootout to find the winner.

With a strong mentality, Spain won 4 – 2, worthy of being in the final to defend the championship.

On the Spanish side, only Alonso’s shot was blocked by goalkeeper Patricio, the rest Iniesta, Pique, Ramos and Fabregas all succeeded. Meanwhile, on the Portuguese side, only Pepe and Nani shot past Casillas, while Moutinho’s shot was blocked by Casillas and Alves hit the crossbar.
