Sharing with Entertainment Weekly magazine about her new album, Avril said: “This album will not be a pop rock album like the previous albums. Most of the songs are acoustic, going deeper into the emotional and emotional aspects.”
Avril’s fourth album is expected to have 12 songs, but as of now the album still does not have an official title. The album was produced by Avril’s husband, lead singer of the group Sum 41 Deryck Whibley, for eight songs on the album. The remaining four songs were performed by Butch Walker. He used to co-write Avril’s hit songs such as My happy ending and When you’re gone .
The 25-year-old singer also revealed the idea for the album’s first single. It will be a song developed from the music that Avril wrote for Black Star Perfume (listen to Avril’s Black Star commercial music on Youtube here ). With the melodious and soaring sound of the piano, this is the first song that Avril recorded for her new album. Avril decided to completely record this commercial because “the audience really liked it because the melody sounded as soft as a lullaby.”
Two songs in the album that Avril especially likes are Everybody Hurts and Darlin . Darlin is originally a love song that she composed when she was 15 years old and had never been recorded before. Currently, Avril is putting all her energy into completing this album. After releasing the album, she plans to launch a tour in North America in February next year.
Avril Lavigne has released three albums to date. In 2002, she first released the album Let go and quickly held second place in Billboard ‘s 200 new albums chart . In 2004 Avril released the album Under my skin. The third album The best damn thing released in 2007 has so far sold 1.6 million copies worldwide.
