His nation were drawing 1-1 when their midfield maestro went down with an ankle issue, which required him to be helped off the pitch by two of the Norwegian medical staff.
Head coach StĂĽle Solbakken confirmed after the game that the 25-year-old sprained his ankle.
âMartin Ădegaardâs injury looked bad in the dressing room as well,” he said. âHe got a small ankle sprain. We will see, maybe we use ultrasound to look at it. If we are unsure, there will be an MRI tomorrow.â
Already without midfield duo Declan Rice and Mikel Merino for this weekend’s north London derby, the Gunners will be praying that the issue isn’t serious enough to rule the Arsenal captain out too.
