Veteran coach Carlo Ancelotti shares about the process of training Ronaldo, the symbol of Real Madrid, often considered by many football fans as the greatest player of all time, alongside his great rival Messi.
Asked about coaching five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo on The Obi One Podcast, coach Carlo Ancelotti said: “Coaching Ronaldo? Very easy. When you have a player who scores every game, it’s always easy ( laughs).”
Carlo Ancelotti added about the 39-year-old striker: “What Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved in his career is incredible. I coached him for two years and never had any problems. In fact, he solved everything for us. He trains hard, pays attention to detail and is easy to manage . He is an extraordinary player. He will always be an idol for Real Madrid fans.”

Ronaldo arrived at the Santiago Bernabéu in 2009 after six years at Manchester United. The Portugal captain is Real Madrid’s all-time leading scorer with 451 goals and 131 assists in 438 appearances in all competitions.
During his nine years with Los Blancos, Ronaldo also won three La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys, two Spanish Super Cups, four UEFA Champions Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups, and three FIFA Club World Cups. He also won four of his five Ballon d’Ors (2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017) during his time with the Spanish club.
Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his speed and agility on the pitch. The player has made an effort every day to maintain his diet and avoid junk food. The Portuguese captain never arrives at training on time and trains at a high intensity. Despite this, the star still cannot enter the mind of coach Ancelotti as the number one player.

The former Real Madrid manager also shared his views when asked about the debate between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as to who is better. The 65-year-old Ancelotti did not choose anyone as the worse player and praised both players for their incredible career journeys.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti told Radio Anch’io Sport: “The rivalry has motivated both of them. In recent years, they have been key players in the world of football, playing great and scoring a lot of goals. Messi ended his career with the World Cup, CR7 ended in a different way, but it was an extraordinary career. Especially at Real Madrid, I always see Ronaldo forever in the hearts of the fans.”
Coach Ancelotti begins his second spell at Los Blancos in 2021 and his contract runs until June 30, 2026. In total, he has won two La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions League titles among other trophies with the Spanish Royal team.
