Speaking with TyC Sports, Paulo Dybala shared some remarkable things after the victory over Chile.
This morning, in the absence of Lionel Messi, Paulo Dybala was honored to wear the iconic number 10 shirt in the match between Argentina and Chile. Coming off the bench in the 79th minute, the AS Roma striker still managed to shine with a goal in injury time to seal a 3-0 victory for the home team.
Speaking after the match, Dybala admitted that he hesitated when he had the chance to wear Messi’s number 10 shirt. The star was called up to the national team at the last minute by coach Lionel Scaloni and shared:

“To be able to come back here, to be here with my teammates, with great people who have supported me so much, it’s special.”
“I know it’s not my number, we all know it’s Leo’s . But, I tried to show it in the best way, give my best and I think I was able to do it.”
“It was the coaching staff’s decision, some players said I had to take that number. I didn’t know whether to accept it or not , because it was a responsibility.”
