Van Gaal commented on new Liverpool coach Arne Slot

Arne Slot is a Dutch coach. And sharing about his fellow countryman, Louis van Gaal said: “It was a difficult job because Jurgen Klopp did a great job. Slot is the successor and there will certainly be trouble ahead. But he is a good technical coach.

At this moment, I think he is the best technical coach in the Netherlands. I think Liverpool made a very good choice.”

Erik ten Hag takes the opposite view. Man United’s captain believes that people are over-praising the work that Arne Slot has done at Feyenoord.

“People are talking a bit too much about Feyenoord. This club played consistently this year but was not at its peak. PSV Eindhoven is 2 levels better in every position. In terms of ball control, in terms of pressure, in terms of intensity, PSV is superior.

I see that PSV Eindhoven is far ahead of the remaining opponents in the tournament. They are also a lot better than Feyenoord.”

Arne Slot helped Feyenoord win the Dutch national championship last year. Recently, Feyenoord also won the Dutch national cup and it was Arne Slot’s second title at the club.
