A new women’s basketball league tips off today.

Unrivaled is a 3-on-3 women’s basketball league that’ll be a destination for WNBA players to play year-round without having to leave the country. It was founded by New York Liberty power forward Breanna Stewart and Minnesota Lynx power forward Napheesa Collier with the intention that all of the league’s players would have a stake in the league itself.

Unrivaled will begin with six teams playing in a centralized location in Miami, Fla., but every game will air on TV and Max.

Unrivaled is a new 3-on-3 women’s basketball league founded by WNBA stars Stewart and Collier to, in part, allow WNBA players to take part in year-round basketball domestically and bypass the prioritization rule that states WNBA players of more than two years must be stateside by a certain date in order to play in the next season.

Unrivaled consists of six teams, with six players on each team. The 36 players in the league all come from WNBA teams and, in fact, are some of the WNBA’s biggest stars.

In addition to Stewart and Collier, Britney Griner, Sabrina Ionescu, Angel Reese, and Arike Ogunbowale are just a few of the big names in the league. Cameron Brink signed a two-year contract but won’t play until her second year due to a torn ACL, which ended her rookie season early.

One name you won’t see on the Unrivaled court? Caitlin Clark. The star reportedly turned down a $1 million offer.

Unrivaled is funded by a large pool of investors, many of whom are current or retired professional athletes. The salary pool is roughly $8 million, and the average salary per player is $222,222 — nearly $100,000 more than the annual average WNBA salary.

The season will be played entirely in the Miami area, and the luxury amenities the league offers rivals those in the WNBA.

All of Unrivaled’s games will air on either TNT or truTV. One way to stream Unrivaled matches without traditional cable is with a live TV streaming service.

In addition to these live TV streaming services, all Unrivaled games will air on Max. Max starts at $9.99/month for ad-supported streaming, but you can remove ads for $16.99/month.

There are six Unrivaled teams, with six players on each team.
