An expert has warned about the sudden increase in the number of reports of UFO sightings around the world in recent months.

According to experts, this is no longer a rare phenomenon but has become a common problem, beyond the framework of normal curiosity.
A large proportion of the world’s population believes that Earth has been visited by extraterrestrials. In the UK, one in five people believe that this has happened. Meanwhile, in the US, the figure is even higher, with 34% of the population believing that UFOs are evidence of alien life – up from 20% in 1996. Some 24% of Americans also claim to have seen a UFO at least once in their lifetime.

A 2019 Gallup poll found that 68% of Americans believe the government knows more about UFOs than it lets on, sparking a wave of calls for transparency from presidents ranging from Jimmy Carter to Donald Trump to Hillary Clinton.
Most recently, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer introduced the UAP Disclosure Act of 2023, which would force the government to disclose more information about these phenomena. However, so far, the Pentagon’s disclosures have not yielded any conclusive evidence of alien existence.
The rise in UFO reports and public interest in aliens is fueling conspiracy theories and undermining trust in democratic institutions. Television shows like “Ancient Aliens” on the History Channel attract millions of viewers and appear to increase belief in alien stories.
