Tom Holland talks about the future after Spider-Man

Star Tom Holland shares about his experience as Spider-Man and his plans for the future, according to People.

The 25-year-old Spider-Man : No Way Home star talks about his future plans. Spider-Man: No Way Home is the third (and probably final) Spider-Man film Tom Holland has appeared in. The actor has mixed feelings.

Tom Holland said: “I loved every minute of it. I’m so grateful to Marvel and Sony for giving us the opportunity, for allowing us to continue in the film, for allowing our characters to evolve. It’s been amazing. And that’s why I don’t want to say goodbye to Spider-Man, but I feel like I’m ready to say goodbye to Spider-Man. I don’t want to be responsible for holding back the next young person who deserves to play the character.” Tom Holland has played Peter Parker since Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2015. Now, he says it might be time to move on.

After Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire took turns playing the superhero Spider-Man, Tom Holland confided that it was time for a change. “I would love to see a more diverse Spider-Man future. We’ve had three Spider-Men in a row; we’re all the same. It would be fun to see something different.”

While Tom Holland’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to be up in the air, the actor – who is dating co-star Zendaya – has a thriving career. His action adventure Uncharted with Mark Wahlberg is due out in 2022. Holland is also set to star in a Fred Astaire biopic. “I’ve spent the last six years focusing on my career. I want to take a break and focus on starting a family, figuring out what I want to do outside of the film world .”

The star hopes to become a father one day. Tom Holland has said that if he wasn’t acting, he would be a teacher. “I love kids. I can’t wait to be a dad. If I’m at a wedding or a party, I’m always at the table talking to the kids. My dad is a great role model for me. I got that from him. So I think I could be a primary school teacher or something like that.”

Media opinion could help Spider-Man increase box office revenue

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters worldwide on December 17. The film has received high reviews from critics, and many box office analysts predict the superhero action blockbuster will set a Covid -19 pandemic- era box office record at the box office this weekend.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is produced by Sony and Walt Disney, starring Tom Holland as the superhero Spider-Man. As of December 15, Spider-Man: No Way Home has a 98% positive score from 65 reviews collected on the website Rotten Tomatoes. Supporters say the story will please old and new fans.

Esther Zuckerman of Thrillist commented: ” Spider-Man: No Way Home is a horror film that feels like it’s about to eat the world, a powerful combination of the growing Marvel Cinematic Universe and nostalgia for what came before.”

USA Today writer Brian Truitt called the film “a delightful read that doubles as a love letter to the comic book character. It’s about second chances and a clever reminder of the famous adage: ‘With great power comes great responsibility.’”

Demand for advance tickets to Spider-Man: No Way Home is up sharply, a welcome sign for movie theater chains including AMC Entertainment, Cinemark and Cineworld that are still struggling to attract audiences back to theaters amid the Covid -19 pandemic.

The number of first-day pre-sales for Spider-Man: No Way Home was recorded by ticket distributor Fandango as the highest since 2019’s blockbuster Avengers: Endgame – the second-highest-grossing film of all time.

Paul Dergarabedian, senior box office analyst at Comscore, said he expects Spider-Man: No Way Home to gross more than $130 million in ticket sales in the U.S. and Canada in its opening weekend. “That should offset much of the negative headlines , creating a positive ripple effect for theaters heading into 2022,” Dergarabedian said.

Hollywood will be closely watching this weekend’s box office results to gauge the future of the industry amid the rise of streaming. Sony’s head of motion pictures Tom Rothman said he believes pre-orders for Spider -Man: No Way Home show “people are ready to come back to the big screen.”

Spider-Man Tom Holland told Reuters: “We worked very hard on this movie. It’s great to see the audience accept it like this.”
