Behind-the-scenes photos taken with the crew reveal Tom Holland’s scratched, bloody face while playing the web-shooting hero.
ScreenRant reported that a new behind-the-scenes photo of Spider-Man: No Way Home was shared by the SpideyNews Twitter account on March 27. In the photo, Tom Holland, still wearing the bloody Spider-Man makeup, smiles brightly next to his co-stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and members of the production crew.
The scratched face in the photo foreshadows the difficult journey that the young Peter Parker will go through in the new film. At the end of Far From Home , Spider-Man’s true identity was revealed to be Peter Parker. In No Way Home , he will have to find a way to solve the problems that this revelation brings.
Spider-Man also faces two revealed enemies, Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina). Both Electro and Doc Ock are villains from previous Spider-Man universes on screen. Spider-Man’s mentor in the new film will be Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
On March 28, the Spider-Man: No Way Home crew also announced that filming had officially wrapped. Fans of the web-slinging superhero can count down to the day the film releases its first trailer from now on.
Also according to ScreenRant , on his personal Instagram, George Cottle – stuntman of the No Way Home crew – celebrated this event by thanking Holland, Zendaya, Batalon and director Jon Watts. Cottle also mentioned Chris Daniels, stuntman for Tobey Maguire in director Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy .
The third film in the Spider-Man series starring Tom Holland started filming in late 2020. In early 2021, Marvel Studios announced the official title of the film as Spider-Man: No Way Home . The film is scheduled to be released in theaters in December.
Before No Way Home , audiences will see Black Widow , the first work of the Marvel superhero universe on the big screen after a two-year absence. The film will be released in theaters from July 9 and will be released simultaneously on the same day on the online service Disney+.
