FSG in talks with streaming giants
Fenway Sports Group (FSG) were seen meeting with Netflix, amid reports that they had signed a collaboration agreement, as they seek to expand their influence into the ever-growing world of digital entertainment.
Earlier this year, Netflix announced that it will follow an MLB team over the course of the 2024 season, documenting FSG’s Boston Red Sox as they compete across ups and downs in one of the most rabid sports environments in the league.
John Henry’s wife Linda Pizzuti confirmed the meeting with Netflix, writing on Instagram: “Netflix X FSG, so many exciting projects…”
Any partnership will likely focus on producing sports documentaries, docuseries and behind-the-scenes content, providing unprecedented access to the inner workings of some of the world’s most successful sports teams. By aligning with Netflix, FSG can tap into the streaming platform’s vast global network, ensuring that Liverpool, the Red Sox and other FSG properties gain even more visibility across the world.
