Steve Harvey sang wife Marjorie Harvey‘s praises while accepting the Television Icon prize at the Grio Awards on Saturday.
The 66-year-old media personality — whose daughter is Lori Harvey — became emotional as he acknowledged his longtime partner’s love and support.
The comedian dedicated both his acceptance speech and his award to his spouse, to whom he’s been married for 16 years.
An outtake from Steve’s heartfelt moment on stage was shared by the Grio on X.
‘That woman right there been down with me like four flat tires,’ he said about his missus.
It comes after earlier this year the longtime couple thwarted rumors of infidelity on Marjorie’s part.
The former Steve Harvey Show star was dressed to the nines for the occasion, wearing a shimmering black blazer and black slacks.
He covered his brown eyes with lightly sepia-tinted aviator glasses and rocked his signature thick beard.
The entertainer emphasized that his wife has been ‘faithful’ and ‘loyal to me’ as he pointed her out in the audience.
He said, ‘85% of what y’all up here [are] talking to me about happened after I married that girl right there.’
Steve alluded to the cheating rumors about Marjorie elsewhere in his monologue as he shared, ‘We’ve been 18 years strong. I don’t know what y’all been trying to do, but we covered, though.’
The Emmy winning Family Feud host referenced multiple bible verses before passing the award to event staff to hand to Marjorie.
‘I love you Marjorie Harvey,’ he said while wrapping up the speech. ‘I appreciate you riding with me.’
Over the summer, both Steve and Marjorie shared statements denying the speculation of unfaithfulness.
In August Marjorie, who has been married to Steve since 2007, slammed the accusations in a post shared to her Instagram account.
She uploaded a screenshot of an article called ‘How to handle being lied about,’ which contained a quote from the Bible.
‘When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate,’ it read. ‘When he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.’
In her caption, she wrote, ‘My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us. However, to whom much is given, much is required.’
