Jarell Quansah was one of those as people raved about his goal-saving block in the first half. Harvey Elliott, though, truly stole the show with a pair of assists.
“They were two great assists but what I believe is that the team created this for him as well,” Slot said, per the Athletic.
“If I am a bit hard on him, I think there were maybe two other situations where he could have done better but he showed his quality.”

Liverpool have been in the process of organising another pre-season friendly this August but their potential opponents may well cancel the match.

The Reds had been working on finalising a friendly with Spanish side Las Palmas for Saturday 10 August, just a day before the Reds are scheduled to face Sevilla in Arne Slot’s first Anfield outing.
However, according to news outlet Canarias7, Las Palmas could cancel the rumoured friendly for two reasons.
The first is that Liverpool will play an under-23 team for the clash given they face Sevilla a day later. This would severely impact the financial benefit of a friendly for the Spanish outfit.
The second reason is that the game is set to be staged at the AXA Training Centre as opposed to Anfield.

The 21-year-old broke into the Liverpool side under Jurgen Klopp last season as he made his debut against Newcastle United. He seriously impressed considering the Reds were down to 10 men.
He went on to make 33 appearances in all competitions for the season and in the run-in he was even the preferred partner to Virgil van Dijk over Ibrahima Konate.
Now it has been revealed by the Daily Mail that Ramos, Bonucci and Stones can have some credit when it comes to his development.

MIKEL ARTETA HAILS ARNE SLOT AFTER FRIENDLY
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has admitted that he’s been impressed by the opening weeks of Arne Slot’s tenure at Liverpool following a friendly clash between the two sides on Thursday.
Liverpool beat Arsenal 2-1 during their tour of the United States in the early hours of the morning, with goals from Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho securing the second victory of the Slot era.
Speaking to the media after the defeat to Liverpool, Arteta was asked about what he had made of Slot’s short time at Liverpool.
“We all have to start competing and earn our right to show how good we are but yes, the team [Liverpool] is looking good in the games that I’ve watched in pre-season. It’s clear the idea that he wants to implement and it was a tough game for us,” Arteta replied.

Slot’s men played the second friendly of their US tour against the Gunners at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
NFL side Philadelphia Eagles play their home games at the ground and one of their players, Avonte Maddox was in attendance to give Elliott his jersey.
Maddox has been in the NFL for six years and the Philadelphia Eagles have been his only team in that time. He has made 38 starts with 64 outings overall.
It was a nice souvenir for Elliott to take away as he travels with his teammates to the Williams-Brice stadium for their next stop on the USA tour.
