Sitting in the stands, Messi was shocked by his son’s actions.

A funny moment involving Messi and little Mateo is being shared again.

Mateo – Messi’s second son – is known as the one who teases his father the most in the family. Many times, the 8-year-old boy humorously teased Messi when he lost a match. Recently, netizens shared a funny moment of Mateo in the stands that made viewers both surprised and laughed.

The moment came during a match in 2019, when Messi and Luis Suarez were still playing for Barca. Unable to play that day, the two stars and their families had to sit in the stands to cheer on their team against Real Betis.

Mateo celebrates when the opponent scores against his father’s team

When Betis scored the opening goal against Barca, the camera captured Mateo celebrating. While he was supposed to be cheering for his father’s team, Barca, it seemed like Mateo was supporting the opposing team. Mateo’s celebration surprised both Suarez and Messi. In the end, Barca won the match 5-2.

The clip attracted millions of views after being shared.

“Mateo is so funny and adorable,” one account said.

“I think at home, Messi would never stop smiling because he has a funny son like Mateo,” another person said.

After 5 years, coincidentally Messi and Suarez are still teammates but at Inter Miami (USA). This season, Messi is injured and is constantly on the sidelines. Suarez shines brightly with 16 goals, helping Inter Miami lead the Eastern Conference standings.

Young Mateo is also currently playing for Inter Miami’s youth team.
