Seeing Sergio Ramos and Messi in the same team would have been a pipe dream a few years ago. But now the Spaniard and the Argentine superstar are playing for the same glory at PSG.

Fate has brought about a miracle: Sergio Ramos and Leo Messi wear the same shirt. A few years ago, no one would have thought this would happen due to the fierce rivalry between the two rivals, Real Madrid and Barcelona, where Sergio Ramos and Messi are the symbols of their clubs. But now, the two greats of European football are winning and even scoring together at PSG.
“Having a teammate like Messi is a privilege for me. I don’t need to congratulate him. Everyone knows what kind of person Messi is, I hope he continues this way,” the Spanish defender told ESPN.
The former Real Madrid centre-back knows what Messi has to offer and can make a difference in a game. The Argentine superstar was awarded the Man of the Match award for his recent performance at the Trophee des Champions.
Ramos is not the only one to praise Messi. Brazilian centre-back Marquinhos also spoke highly of the Argentine, despite the two being arch-rivals when it comes to international football.
“Messi is very comfortable in his favourite position. I think the coach knows the best place to put his best players and this has been proven by everyone’s performance, like with Ney, or with Leo.”
PSG will start their campaign this weekend without star attacker Kylian Mbappe due to injury, but with the brilliant form of Neymar, Messi and Ramos, the French capital club can comfortably get through the first stage of the campaign.
