Cristiano Ronaldo broke the record for most assists in Euro finals history after Portugal’s 3-0 win over Türkiye.
Cristiano Ronaldo started for Portugal in the 3-0 victory over Turkey in Group F Euro 2024, which took place in the early morning of June 23 (Vietnam time).
Notably, the 39-year-old striker was not selfish when assisting Bruno Fernandes to score the third goal of the match after taking advantage of some poor defending. CR7 could have scored himself against the goalkeeper, but instead chose to pass to his former Manchester United teammate to tap the ball into an empty net.

It was a decision that helped Ronaldo make history, as he and Czech legend Karel Poborsky are now the ones with the most assists in the Euro finals since 1968, with eight. The table becomes a table.
In addition to having the most assists, Ronaldo is also the greatest striker in the tournament’s history with a total of 14 goals after 6 consecutive Euros, far ahead of Michel Platini’s second place (9 goals).

There is no question that Ronaldo is one of the best players ever to appear at Europe’s biggest football festival. He currently holds countless records at the Euro, being the player with the most appearances at the tournament (27 times), participating in the most Euro tournaments (6 consecutive tournaments)…
An excellent goalscorer – with nearly 900 goals for club and country, Ronaldo’s first goal at Euro 2024 will make him the first player to score in six different Euros. This will also help him become the oldest scorer in this tournament.
Al Nassr’s superstar has yet to score a goal at Euro 2024, but his latest efforts could help Portugal advance to its second championship title in history. The recent victory also helped European Selecao officially win tickets to the round of 16.
