The Portuguese striker has praised his teammates after they qualified for the next round of the King’s Cup.
Al Nassr clashed with Al Hazem in the King’s Cup Round of 16 and won 2-1 on aggregate, with Nawaf Boushal scoring a last-minute winner after Sadio Mane’s strike in first-half stoppage time.
They will be without Cristiano Ronaldo for this clash, as manager Stefano Pioli looks to rotate his squad.
Al Nassr won without Ronaldo.
The former AC Milan boss rested Ronaldo as he needed the Portuguese forward to be at full fitness for Friday’s clash with Al Wehda and the AFC Champions League clash with Al Rayyan.
The absence of the 39-year-old leader made it quite difficult for Al-Nassr, but in the end they were still able to win a ticket to the next round.
Ronaldo himself seemed quite pleased with his teammates’ performance. On Instagram, the owner of 5 Golden Balls posted the message: “We won the King’s Cup. Well done!”
