Portugal have praised Cristiano Ronaldo after he set an incredible record for Al Nassr.
The X (Twitter) account of the Portuguese national team recently praised Cristiano Ronaldo after the legend’s impressive season. The A Seleccao striker scored a double against Al-Ittihad in the early morning of May 28, bringing his total goals to 35 for the season.
This is more than the previous record of 34 goals set by Abderrazak Hamdallah – set in the 2018/19 season. Hamdallah also played for Al Nassr and achieved the above achievement after 27 matches, while Ronaldo needed 31 matches to reach his mark.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s career is full of record-breaking seasons, and the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League is no exception.
In response to CR7’s impressive scoring record, the Portuguese national team tweeted a post to honor their captain’s achievements, while affirming that Ronaldo is the GOAT (greatest of all time): “Continue to break records (with GOAT emoji)”.

Al Nassr won 4-2 against Al-Ittihad in the final match of the Saudi Pro League this season. However, they are second in the standings with 82 points, 14 points behind Al-Hilal.
Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 58 goals and contributed 15 assists in 63 appearances for Al Nassr – since his arrival in 2023.
With his consistent scoring form in recent times, Ronaldo is clearly expected to be the leader leading the Portuguese national team to glory at Euro 2024. The striker born in 1985 also holds the record for the most goals scored in the national team jersey (125 goals). In addition, he is also the greatest scorer in Euro history, leading the scoring list with 14 goals in 25 matches.
