Cristiano Ronaldo is being investigated for violating Covid-19 prevention rules when the Portuguese superstar organized a two-day skiing trip in Courmayeur with his girlfriend Georgina, despite a travel ban in Italy.
Cristiano Ronaldo took Georgina and the kids to the Courmayer ski resort to celebrate his beautiful girlfriend’s 27th birthday. It was a luxury ski getaway with dinner, a night in a now-closed hotel and a sleigh ride.
However, travel between cities is banned in Italy due to the Covid-19 crisis and Courmayer is 93 miles from Turin.
Ronaldo, 35, was excused from Wednesday’s 4-0 Coppa Italia win over SPAL, so took the time to take his girlfriend to Courmayeur, which was off-limits because he had crossed the Piedmont border into the D’Aosta Valley.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, they stayed in a hotel that has since closed, while Ronaldo and Rodriguez were also photographed on a snowmobile. Last year, Rodriguez celebrated his birthday at the same hotel, but Ronaldo was unable to attend.
Both Ronaldo and Rodriguez have now returned to Turin after their holidays, but beiN Sports reports that authorities are investigating Ronaldo following his trip to Courmayer.
The fine Ronaldo faces is €400 (£354), which is as much as former Manchester United and Real Madrid star Ronaldo earns for seven minutes under his £26m-a-year (€30m) Juventus contract.
The newspaper added that the couple were not fined, but a video showing them at the resort on social media was immediately taken down.

Italy’s Covid-19 rules state: ‘Travel across Italian regions is prohibited until 15 February unless for work, health or essential reasons’.
On his 27th birthday, Rodriguez posted a picture of Ronaldo and their young family on Instagram, saying: ‘Thank you so much. For the love I received today…
‘And always… for your best wishes, your care, and your messages of love. I am truly a very lucky person.’
