Cristiano Ronaldo has proven that although pursuing a YouTube channel is a big project, it does not affect his focus on his professional life.
Early morning of August 23 (Vietnam time), Ronaldo and Al Nassr club will start the 2024-2025 Saudi Pro League season, with a home match against Al Raed. Last season, Al Raed ranked 12th on the rankings but surprisingly won 3-1 at King Saud University.
They have started the season with another disappointment for Al Nassr. Before this match, Al Nassr played in the Saudi Arabian Super Cup final and lost 4-1 to Al Hilal, despite Ronaldo scoring to give them the lead.
In the match early this morning, CR7 and his teammates almost dominated the game, with 70% ball possession.
It took the home team just 34 minutes to open the scoring. A goal with the trademark “CR7 airline” when he jumped very high to head in Sadio Mane’s cross.
This is Ronaldo’s third goal in the last three matches (he also scored against Al Taawon in the Saudi Arabia Super Cup semi-final.
With the goal and the game, Al Nassr fans were naturally thinking about more goals and 3 points. However, the match script took a different turn when Aymeric Laporte was determined to have committed a foul when blocking an opponent’s attack.
The visitors equalized from the penalty spot in the 49th minute. Of course, there was still enough time for Al Nassr to find a goal, but in the end, all they could do was serve as a platform for goalkeeper Meshari Sunyur, who blocked 7 of Ronaldo and his teammates’ 23 chances.
In total, Al Nassr had 31 shots throughout the match but only scored 1 goal like their opponent in 8 shots.
Al Nassr ‘s next match is an away match at Al Fayha on August 28.
