Migos brought out a very special guest (or rather, two) during their set at Hot 97’s Summer Jam on Sunday (Aug. 22): Cardi B and her baby bump.
She joined husband Offset, Quavo and Takeoff during their group performance of “Type Shit,” which Cardi is featured on from Migos’ latest album Culture III. The song peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in June.
“What’s poppin? Yeah!” Cardi yelled before the rap trio launched straight into their song. As Cardi has been showing off her growing baby bump in miniature performance videos lately, the Bronx MC strutted her stuff on stage in stilettos while debuting a bright red hairdo.
The “Up” rapper previously came in with an assist at the 2021 BET Awards earlier this summer, where she first announced she was expecting Baby No. 2 with Offset during Migos’ performance of “Straightenin.”
Meek Mill, Swizz Beatz, Bobby Shmurda, DaBaby and more performed at the festival, which was held at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. DaBaby’s performance comes one month after his controversial July 25 festival set at Rolling Loud Miami, where he made homophobic and misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS.
