Messi’s villa was destroyed, Argentina’s president spoke up

Vandalism of Lionel Messi’s Ibiza villa condemned as Argentina’s president calls climate protesters ‘cowardly and delusional’.

Argentine President Javier Milei has strongly condemned the vandalism of Lionel Messi’s luxury villa in Ibiza by climate protest group ‘Futuro Vegetal’ . The incident happened earlier this week as the protesters called on people to “help the planet”, “oppose the rich” and “abolish the police”.

The ‘Futuro Vegetal’ group said they had invaded Messi’s villa to draw attention to the environmental crisis facing the planet, stressing that “we need a radical change of system”. However, President Milei has rejected their claims. He also called on the Spanish government to ensure the safety of Argentine citizens living in the country.

On the social media platform X (Twitter), Mr. Milei wrote: “In Spain, Messi’s house was vandalized. I stand in solidarity with the Messi family for this cowardly and delusional event and I ask the government of Pedro Sanchez to guarantee the safety of Argentine citizens living in the Kingdom of Spain.”

It is not yet clear whether Messi will decide to pursue legal action against the trespassers on his property. The incident has caused outrage and concern among the soccer star’s fan base, as well as attracting international media attention.

Meanwhile, Messi is still recovering from an ankle injury and will miss Inter Miami’s upcoming League Cup match against FC Toronto. His absence is a big loss for the team, but Messi’s health remains the top priority.

Messi’s act of vandalism is not only a personal crime but also a warning about the current social and political unrest. The statements and actions of extremist groups must be taken seriously and must be dealt with in order to ensure the safety and order of all citizens.
