Messi’s former teammate cries in fear at colleague in ambulance

Lionel Messi’s former Argentina teammate Enzo Perez cried as he watched Javier Altamirano suffer a seizure and be taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The above situation happened in the match between Estudiantes and Boca Juniors in the Argentine Football Championship which took place early this morning, March 18 (Vietnam time).

In the 27th minute, Chilean player Javier Altamirano of the home team Estudiantes suddenly lost consciousness and had a seizure, frightening everyone. Referee Fernando Echenique immediately stopped the match.

The first to reach Altamirano were his teammates Ascacibar and Enzo Perez. Medical staff from both teams rushed to provide first aid before an ambulance drove straight onto the pitch to take the Chilean midfielder to hospital.

As one of the first to spot the incident and come to Javier Altamirano’s aid, former Argentina international Enzo Perez was left in shock by the sight. His teammate, who had won the 2014 World Cup with Lionel Messi for Argentina, burst into tears as the ambulance took his teammate to the hospital.

Fortunately, shortly afterwards, the organizers officially announced that Javier Altamirano had regained consciousness in the hospital and was receiving medical care.

Referee Fernando Echenique then had a quick meeting with the captains of Estudiantes and Boca. Everyone came to the decision to postpone the match to prioritize the health of the Chilean midfielder. At the same time, the match also lost its appeal because many spectators and players were still scared by the above incident.
