Superstar Lionel Messi has admitted he is eager to make his debut for new club Inter Miami in a documentary.
In a new documentary, superstar Lionel Messi admitted something interesting on his Inter Miami debut.
Specifically, the Argentine player revealed that he is very eager to play for the MLS team and wishes to play with Sergio Busquets after a long time.
Messi said: “I’m really looking forward to my debut. I’ve been in Miami for a few days and training with the club and my new teammates. I want to play and be back on the pitch with Busquets after a long time without playing together. It’s really great and I just want to get started right away.”

Indeed, the eagerness to get on the field partly helped Messi have a brilliant debut day for the new team. The owner of 8 Golden Balls showed the difference with skillful dribbling and passes that opened up attacking opportunities.
In the final minutes of the match, Messi showed the whole of America his “magic” with a classy free kick, thereby bringing the final victory to The Herons.

Soon after, El Pulga’s brilliance helped Inter Miami win their first title in the club’s history, the League Cup. This was the first title for the Lockhart Stadium team since its official establishment in 2018.
In MLS this season, Messi continues to show his important role in Inter Miami’s gameplay with direct contributions to the team’s favorable results. The 37-year-old superstar has 12 goals and 9 assists in 12 appearances, thereby helping The Herons firmly stay at the top with 53 points after 25 matches.

However, Inter Miami fans are still living in “Messi-less” days because the 2022 World Cup champion is still recovering from the injury he suffered in the 2024 Copa America final. Messi’s absence can be seen as a major disadvantage in the journey to conquer the first major title in Inter Miami’s history.
