“Is this true?”
Margot Robbie could not believe her eyes when news.com.au showed her a photo on the AACTAs red carpet on the Gold Coast on Saturday night.
The Barbie star, who was honoured with the AACTA Trailblazer Award at the event, was a total pro as she walked the red carpet, stopping to talk to every single reporter clamouring for a moment with her.
When it was news.com.au’s turn to speak to the 33-year-old, we showed her a screenshot of a recent video by Emma Bunton, in which the Spice Girl showed off her new puppy and announced to the camera that she had named it “Margot Robbie”.
“I’m just in love, we all are so in love … Isn’t she gorgeous?” Bunton said in the video.

Margot was stunned by the tribute.
When Robbie saw the screenshot of the video, she told news.com.au: “Is this true? My friend sent me that.”
When we assured her the video was real, Robbie gushed over the tribute and sent a message to the Spice Girl.
“Baby Spice, I am so honoured,” the Aussie star said.
“I don’t know how often I talk about the Spice Girls publicly, I think a lot, and I’m just so honoured, thank you. And what a cute dog!”
In the past, Robbie has made no secret of the fact she’s a hardcore Spice Girls fan.
