Margot Robbie has good hair. The Bombshell actress knows what she likes, opting for loose blonde waves 99 per cent of the time (red carpet or otherwise). But this awards season, Robbie has opted out of creamy all-over blonde for a slightly different hue: visibly grown-out roots.

Blondes likely know the perils of regrowth, but recent years have seen color techniques like root shadowing and balayage soften the impact. Robbie has been known to dabble in both of the above, but favored an all-over buttery blonde over the course of the last 12 months.
It wasn’t until the Golden Globe awards some two weeks ago that she debuted her new regrowth – not a root shadow per say, but just a stretch of time between color appointments.
It was a similar situation at the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards, where the actress wore a beautiful loose up-do and visibly darker roots. Whether it’s a calculated decision or not, Robbie looks (as always) beautiful, and makes a strong case for pushing back (if not canceling) your four-week revolving color appointment.

If Robbie is anything to go by (and we’re pretty sure she is), 2020 might be the year where we stop working against regrowth and just let it be. Sounds like a dream to us.
