Liverpool is eager to improve the quality of the squad under new coach Arne Slot.
According to sources from James Pearce – a writer for The Athletic and once worked for the Liverpool Echo newspaper, Liverpool has no intention of recruiting one of the hottest young stars in Euro this year – Nico Williams .
Pearce believes that Liverpool intends to recruit more players with the ability to attack on the edge, but the Merseyside team is looking to build a team with more depth than spending money to recruit big stars.
Liverpool has quality names like Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo, so recruiting an expensive name like Nico Williams is not a good solution.
As for Williams’ parent team – Athletic Bilbao, the representative from the Basque country also has no intention of selling this talented winger.
