Liverpool opened their Premier League campaign – and the Arne Slot era – at Portman Road on Saturday. The Reds endured a difficult first half against the newly promoted side but did turn things around.
The second half saw a wonderful change in control, with Liverpool dominating throughout. It led to Diogo Jota grabbing the breakthrough on the hour mark, getting on the end of Mohamed Salah’s pass.
Salah then scored himself, tucking home from close range. With that, Liverpool are off to a positive start under Slot.

Mohamed Salah scored a record-breaking goal on Saturday as Liverpool beat Ipswich Town in the Premier League.
Mohamed Salah went into Liverpool’s Premier League opener against Ipswich Town knowing he was the joint-record holder for goals on the first day of the season. The Reds’s star had eight to his name – level with Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard.
On 65, minutes, though, Salah moved clear on his own. The Egyptian took advantage of Dominik Szoboszlai forcing the ball into the box to slot home, putting the Reds 2-0 up and breaking the opening-day record.
