LeBron James replaces Michael Jordan in basketball movie

Athlete LeBron James – known as “King of the NBA” – replaces Michael Jordan as the main character in the famous “Space Jam” series.

On April 3, Warner Bros. released the trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy, starring LeBron James. He plays himself, a basketball star who wants his son Dom to follow in his footsteps. However, the boy is not interested in the sport and wants to pursue his own dreams. The conflict accidentally brings the two to a Server Universe, a place that connects movie worlds.

If he wants to save his son, James must join the Tunes Squad, including cartoon characters from the Looney Tunes franchise such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig… His opponent is the Goon Squad, with robots and monsters with supernatural powers.

Space Jam is a famous animated and live-action basketball film franchise. The first film was released in 1996 and starred basketball legend Michael Jordan. The film grossed $230 million at the box office, making it the highest-grossing basketball film of all time.

LeBron James, born in 1984, started playing professionally right after high school. In two decades, he won the NBA championship four times and was selected to the All-Star team 17 times. James is often compared to names like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in the debate to vote for the greatest basketball player of all time.
