Karl-Anthony Towns’ Girlfriend Posts Concerning Message After Knicks Star Misses Game

New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns sat out their game against the Golden State Warriors at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday due to “personal reasons.”

The Knicks bowed to the Warriors, 114-102, putting an end to their three-game winning streak.

It was only the seventh game Towns has missed in his first season with the Knicks. However, it seems that he could sit out more in the coming days. Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said it remains unknown if the All-Star big man would join them in their five-game road trip, according to a report from the Associated Press.

Amid Town’s absence, his girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, posted a rather concerning message on X.

“(Expletive) Cancer,” wrote the social media influencer.

It’s unclear if the 27-year-old Woods’ post was connected to Towns’ “personal reasons.” She lost her father to cancer in 2017, according to a report from New York Post’s Jenna Lemoncelli.

Many expressed their support for Woods, including actor and Knicks fan Ben Stiller

Stiller recently went viral after posting about the Knicks’ overtime win over the Miami Heat moments after presenting at the 2025 Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.

It’s also worth noting that Towns and Woods are fans of the hit series “Severance,” of which Stiller is the executive producer and director.

The Knicks are 3-4 without Towns, who’s averaging 24.5 points on 53.0% shooting from the field and a team-high 13.4 rebounds per game.

“When he’s ready to come back, obviously we want him back,” said Thibodeau in the aforementioned report. “But he needs some time right now.”

The Knicks, who are No. 3 in the Eastern Conference with a 40-21 card, will begin their road trip against the surging Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
