On his personal Instagram, the German star shared about his first journey at the Emirates.Arsenal spent £65 million along with the club’s highest compensation to convince Kai Havertz to move to the Emirates in the transfer window last summer. The German star initially caused a lot of disappointment when he could not fill the void left by Granit Xhaka.
However, since Mikel Arteta pushed him to play as a false number 9, Havertz began to develop his abilities and became an indispensable part of the Arsenal squad.
Kai Havertz is increasingly important to Arsenal.
At the end of the season, the striker born in 1999 scored a total of 13 goals and contributed 7 assists after 37 appearances in the Premier League. Looking back on his journey in North London, he shared:
“Where do I start.. My first season was one that helped me grow as a person and a player in many ways.
So grateful for all the support from my fans, staff and teammates. It will take time to process everything but I know with this club we can achieve big things .”
