Justin Bieber’s track, Lonely, has seen a major increase in sales following Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sex trafficking arrest.
Amid reports that the pop star, 30, is deeply ‘disturbed’ by the harrowing allegations against his former mentor, 54, his 2021 song, Lonely, which details the dark side of childhood stardom, has experienced a ‘1,400% increase in pure purchases in the span of just a few days,’ according to Forbes.
Per Luminate, the second single from Bieber’s sixth studio album, Justice, ‘sold nearly 1,500 copies last tracking week.’
This is steep jump from a week prior when the single sold less than 100 copies.
The rise in purchases comes after fans began to claim that lyrics from Lonely may have hinted at what allegedly happened between him and Diddy when he was a minor.

Days after Diddy, 54, was arrested in New York amid a sex trafficking probe, fans began questioning the troubled rapper’s relationship with Justin, when he was a minor, branding resurfaced footage of them together as ‘creepy.’
‘No one protected him. Not even his family. I absolutely adore this song,’ one fan wrote, ‘but the words have always stood out to me. I hope he can heal with time.’
Diddy is 24 years older than Justin and videos of Justin – then aged 15 – have resurfaced online of Diddy documenting his ’48 hours’ staying with the singer.
In the resurfaced clip, Diddy stands next to teen Justin and tells the camera: ‘He’s having 48 hours with Diddy, where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose.’
Diddy continued: ‘But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream. I have been given custody of him. He’s signed to Usher and I had legal guardianship of him [Bieber] but for the next 48 hours he’s with me and we’re gonna go full crazy.’
In the clip, Justin can be seen smiling and looking up at Diddy as he spoke, adding comments like ‘yeah’ and ‘full crazy.’

Justin appeared anxious in the clip, telling him: ‘I mean you tried to get in contact with me throughout all my… and what not… but you never got my number. I’m going to tell you my number.’
A source recently told DailyMail.com that Justin had been ‘thrown’ by the accusations against Diddy and ‘is unwilling to process it or discuss it so he has shut off.’

In September, Diddy was arrested and was soon denied bail by a judge after he used both his and his mother’s homes in Miami – worth $50 million – as collateral.
The rapper lost an appeal to overturn the decision and will remain in custody while pending trial.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center following his indictment for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
In the indictment against Diddy that was unsealed this week, it was claimed that federal raids on his Miami and Los Angeles mansions led to the discovery of over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.
It is alleged that the rapper would coerce and manipulate victims into taking part in days-long sexual performances, which he dubbed ‘freak offs.’
Diddy’s associates would allegedly ply victims with drugs to keep them compliant and would make threats against anyone refusing to engage, in claims similar to those made in a civil lawsuit brought by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie last year.
These allegations were central to prosecutors bringing sex trafficking charges against the producer, with observers noting that authorities are increasingly expanding the law to suit their cases against powerful defendants.
A step up in federal sex trafficking charges was passed by Congress in 2000 as an intentional step to take down prostitution rings and pimps, but the evolving nature of the charge has seen it more recently used to snare individuals like Keith Raniere.

Notably, Diddy has hired the same attorney, Marc Agnifilo, who has previously challenged the government’s expanding use of federal sex trafficking charges in Raniere’s 2019 trial that led to a 120-year sentence.
Raniere was the leader of the NXIVM cult, a self-help pyramid scheme that acted as a front for his various crimes, including sexual assault, sex trafficking, child pornography and forced labor.
