Jurgen Klopp was in attendance at a sold out Anfield for Taylor Swift’s 100th concert on her current ‘Eras’ Tour, with the former Kop boss enjoying his night
Jurgen Klopp returned to Anfield on Thursday night… and couldn’t resist getting into the swing of things as he enjoyed Taylor Swift’s record-smashing Eras tour.
The former Reds boss was spotted among the crowd at her 100th concert, less than one month after bidding an emotional goodbye to the club after stepping down at the end of the season.
Since leaving his position, Klopp has been active on social media, watched his old team Borussia Dortmund lose in the Champions League final, and was seen with his predecessor, Brendan Rodgers, in Spain last week.
The German then made a return to Merseyside for a special evening at the sold-out MandS Bank Arena. On Thursday, he was back in L4, this time as a fan, to watch the American pop sensation perform.
Klopp sent fans into meltdown as he announced his return for the first of three sold-out Taylor Swift gigs, even dropping a shoutout to the ‘Love Story’ songstress. He excitedly shared: “So! Back in Liverpool and now it’s Taylor time. So three things I had to do today.”
“No I had two. A barber appointment with Umut then… we’re going out to Anfield. First time going to not for a football game but in the stands and watching Taylor Swift. So yeah, I’m not Taylor made obviously… but Taylor ready.”
“Let’s go to Anfield and have a good night. A great night would be cool. See you there.”

And as Taylor Swift wowed the crowd, Klopp became an unexpected highlight himself.
Donning an all-black ensemble and his trademark cap flipped back, he turned heads with an unusual choice of pink glasses and at one point borrowed wife Ulla’s pink hat to get in the spirit of the show. He was also seen sharing a warm hug with a steward before enjoying the performance from the Main Stand.
