Internacional vs. Mexico: How to watch friendly, TV channel, live stream

Mexico will begin a two-game tour of South America with a match at Internacional on Thursday night in Porto Alegre.

The game against the Brazilian side will be followed by a match in Argentina against River Plate on Tuesday, as El Tri continues a recent trend of looking to the club game for friendly opponents.

Mexico also hosted La Liga side Valencia in October, with international sides proving difficult to lock down.

With the two matches in South America taking place outside of a FIFA window, Mexico coach Javier Aguirre has called in a roster made up entirely of Liga MX players.

The matches will be a good opportunity for Aguirre to view some untested players, and for a young squad to get a taste of playing in two hostile environments.

Among Mexico’s call-ups is 16-year-old Gilberto Mora, who has emerged as one of his country’s top prospects after already making his senior-team breakthrough at Club Tijuana.

Internacional is in the final stages of its preseason preparations, and will begin the Campeonato Gaúcho — its state championship — on Wednesday with a match against Guarany.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the match.
