Cristiano Ronaldo and four Manchester United stars are among the top 10 best-selling Premier League player shirts in the past five years.
Cristiano Ronaldo and four Manchester United players have made it into the list of the 10 best-selling Premier League shirts of the past five years. It is worth noting that the Portuguese player has been back playing in England for less than two years, but he has brought his popularity to the “foggy country”.
Before falling out with the Man United board and leaving, Ronaldo was of course the biggest star in the Premier League. His popularity played a big part in fans flocking to stores to buy shirts.
CR7 impressively tops the charts, with the majority of his shirts from the 2021/22 season sold out, according to a report from Fanatics (via talkSPORT).

Next up is Erling Haaland, who joined Manchester City in 2022 and helped the Etihad outfit win a historic treble. His teammate Jack Grealish is third on the list while Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah is fourth.
Manchester United players Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford also made the list in fifth and sixth place respectively. Asian star Son Heung-min was in seventh place, Man United winger Antony was in eighth place, while Phil Foden (Manchester City) and Rasmus Hojlund (Manchester United) rounded out the top 10.

Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to leave Manchester United by mutual consent in November 2022, after falling out with the club’s board. He left without receiving any payment, after giving an interview to Piers Morgan criticizing the club for decisions that did not go in CR7’s favor.
According to Ronaldo, executives at Old Trafford showed no empathy after he lost his newborn son in April 2022. He also criticised Erik ten Hag, claiming the Dutch coach did not respect him.
This came after Ten Hag dropped him at half-time in a pre-season friendly, and the Portuguese opted to leave the pitch. He did the same in October during United’s win over Tottenham. Ronaldo refused to come on as a substitute and walked off before the end of the game.
