The 22-year-old singer served as both the host and musical guest on the iconic late-night variety show as she introduced herself to the audience as ‘A singer not a Starbucks drink.’

And it did not take the pop star long to poke fun at her own public missteps – including infamously licking a donut she had not paid for in a store.
‘Yes it was childish and stupid and I have learned that it is really time to grow up, I think I am in a place where I am ready to be caught in a real, adult scandal,’ she said.

The programme also mocked the violence and alleged racism at Donald Trump’s rallies in its latest lampooning of the front-running Republican presidential candidate.
The late night comedy show took on Trump in its opening sketch of the night in a breaking news report that Dr. Ben Carson had been attacked by a mob at a rally.
‘Guys what did I say? Not this one. This is one of the good ones,’ Trump, played by Darrell Hammond, told supporters as Dr. Carson, played by Jay Pharoah tended his bloody wounds next to the business mogul.
‘Don’t worry we have a very classy Trump steak on his eye. And to the media please don’t use this as an excuse to call me racist.’

Ariana then played a frustrated TV reporter backstage at the Kids’ Choice Awards who was awkwardly left hanging by producers trying to fill time and repeatedly attempting to throw over to the show itself.

Ariana, bizarrely wearing her jacket on just one arm, then performed ‘Dangerous Woman’ and got an introduction from Larry David who totally botched her name and began laughing at himself.

The show then used Ariana’s ability to impersonate fellow pop stars in a sketch that saw streaming service Tidal suffering technical issues forcing them to get her to sing like Britney Spears, Shakira, and Rihanna.
‘Was that okay? I truly have no idea what she is saying,’ joked Ariana.
She then went on to imitate Celine Dion and Whitney Houston, hitting a string of high-notes before doing a coffee run for her bosses.

After a quick costume change Ariana played Jennifer Lawrence in a celebrity version of Family Feud.
‘They told me not to do a game show but I was like screw it I can have fun, I am a regular person,’ she said doing her best ‘Annoyingly relatable’ JLaw impression alongside Tilda Swinton, Javier Bardem, Idris Elba, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen and Kevin Smith.
The second time around Larry David managed to pronounce Ariana’s name correctly as she performed ‘Be Alright.’
Finally Ariana played a street-smart Maria in a special version of The Sound of Music who took offense at the nun’s ‘Singing shade’ about her.
