The premiere of new Hulu drama series “Paradise” marks Sterling K. Brown’s return to television, this time playing a secret service agent in a political thriller.
The drama series, created by Dan Fogelman, was picked up for an eight-episode run that will begin in late January. Brown and Fogelman reunited to produce the show nearly three years after working together on the beloved NBC show “This Is Us.”
Their newest venture follows Xavier Collins, played by Brown, as he navigates a high-risk situation after murder rocks an affluent community. Tasked with protecting the president himself, Collins must battle circumstances that not only put his career but the lives of everyone he cares about most in jeopardy.
The series will also focus on Collins’ complicated relationship with the commander-in-chief himself, President Cal Bradford (James Marsden), who meets an unexpected and gruesome fate early on.
