About the movie:
Starring Paige Hurd and Stephen Bishop, “Girl in the Garage: The Laura Cowan Story” depicts the chilling events following a woman’s last-resort decision to accept housing from what she thought was a well-meaning man.
After moving herself and her children into a stranger’s home, Laura Cowan quickly learns of his intentions, none of which involve helping her get back on her feet. She and her kids are then trapped in his garage for years, all the while enduring abuse — until Laura is finally able to slip a message past their captor, igniting a police investigation that not only uncovers the Cowans, but the man’s other abductees as well.
