How did LeBron James spend his “mountain of money”?

On the court, LeBron James is the dominant player in the NBA of this era. He has 4 MVP titles, 3 NBA championships and is the 6th highest paid player in NBA history.

Off the court, LeBron is no pushover either. In 2015, he made waves when he signed a lifetime contract with Nike worth an estimated $1 billion. It was like a merger between the two companies.

With the goal of becoming a billionaire player like Michael Jordan, let’s learn about LeBron’s assets and what he has used his huge amount of money for.

LeBron also owns a stake in English football club Liverpool.

He bought 2% of Liverpool’s shares for $6.5 million. LeBron’s stake in Liverpool is now worth $32 million.

In 2015, LeBron’s investment in a new media company paid off when he received $16 million from Warner Bros.

Besides investing, LeBron’s huge fortune also allows him to buy himself a few “toys”. He and his best friend Dwyane Wade even own two Porsches.

LeBron also gave his mother a Porsche for her birthday in 2014.

And of course his wife, Savannah Brinson, got a piece of the action. LeBron gave her an expensive Ferrari Testarossa for her birthday.

LeBron, however, stuck with the Kia brand, which is known for its low-cost offerings. However, his Kia Sedan K900 is in a whole other league.

There’s even LeBron’s own logo on the wheels.

Of course, a tycoon like LeBron also owns a luxurious Ferrari.

When he joined the Miami Heat, LeBron bought a $9 million condo in Coconut Grove. After leaving the team, he sold it for an additional $4 million.

In 2017, he bought a $23 million mansion in Los Angeles with 10 bedrooms and an onyx bar.

One thing that is special is that LeBron never uses his phone to connect to the internet when there is no Wi-Fi.

LeBron is said to spend around $1.5 million a year on taking care of his body.

LeBron even uses a cryo chamber. This device exposes the body to temperatures ranging from -101 to -178 degrees Celsius to quickly reduce soreness and stimulate muscle recovery. LeBron was one of the first NBA players to use this device.

LeBron’s tattoos were also created by Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy, one of New York’s most famous tattoo artists. Fees start at $500 an hour. McCurdy also tattoos Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Katy Perry, and more.

The engagement ring he bought for his wife cost about $300,000.

LeBron’s wedding was held for 3 days and 3 nights in San Diego. They honeymooned in Italy and Greece.

Like many other NBA stars, LeBron is also a big fan of wine.

Despite his immense wealth, LeBron has tended to stay out of the limelight. He was once seen riding a bicycle to the stadium while playing in Miami.

LeBron’s fortune is sure to increase after he becomes a free agent this summer and signs a new contract.
