How can I block ads on the mobile device?

Ads Block makes it easy to block ads on your mobile device! The instructions below will walk you through the steps for blocking ads on your mobile browser. (Both iOS and Android prohibit ad blocking within apps.)

Ads Block on Android – Samsung Internet

  1. Visit https://getadblock.com in your Samsung Internet browser and tap Get AdBlock Now or find AdBlock for Samsung Internet in the Galaxy Apps store or Google Play store and tap the download button.
  2. Tap the play button to open AdBlock and then follow the prompts.

Ads Block on iOS (iPhone/iPad) – Safari

  1. Visit https://getadblock.com in your Safari for iOS browser and tap Get AdBlock Now or get it from the App Store.
  2. Tap Get to download the AdBlock app.
  3. Once the app is downloaded, open it and tap First: Enable AdBlock!
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Confirm Content Blockers are enabled by going to Settings > Safari > Extensions
  6. Make sure all three AdBlock content blockers are set to on (green)

Ads Block for mobile is currently only available on the browsers listed above. We’ll update this article in the event that we begin supporting new browsers or devices. Chrome does not support extensions on mobile devices so we are not able to offer AdBlock for Chrome on Android or iPhone.

Block pop-ups, redirects, and ads on Google Chrome

Google Chrome has a built-in pop-up and ads blocker to disable intrusive or misleading ads. Follow the steps below to enable them on your phone.

  1. Open Google Chrome on your Android phone.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner and open Settings.
  3. Scroll to Site settings.
  4. Open Pop-ups and redirects and enable the toggle from the following menu.
  5. Go back to Site settings and select Ads.
  6. Turn on the Ads toggle

Note: If you want to remove ads during web browsing, use one of the third-party web browsers on Android, as Chrome doesn’t support an ad-blocker extension on mobile. Samsung Internet and Firefox are two popular Chrome alternatives that offer ad-blocker extensions on Android.
