United Airlines added three direct roundtrip flights with more than 1,000 seats between Philly and NOLA.
The new flights are:

- Flight 2203 to MSY on Feb. 8
To Philadelphia

Eagles fans flooded Broad Street just outside City Hall.
6:53 PM / January 26, 2025 The Philadelphia Eagles punched their ticket to their fifth Super Bowl in franchise history by dominating the Washington Commanders in the NFC championship game — and Frontier Airlines wasted no time adding more flights from Philly to New Orleans.
Frontier said extra flights are added from Philadelphia International Airport to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
The airlines said extra flights are available on Feb. 8 and returning on Feb. 10.
Here are the added flights:
Feb. 8: From PHL to MSY, leaving at 11:55 a.m. EST
Feb. 10: MSY to PHL, leaving at 3:55 p.m. CST

6:17 PM / January 26, 2025 Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley combined for seven touchdowns to lead the Eagles past the Commanders, 55-23, in the NFC championship game to advance to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
The Eagles will play the winner of the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
It marks the second time in three years the Eagles are heading to the Super Bowl. A Chiefs win would set up a rematch of Super Bowl LVII from the 2022 season.
Barkley continued his MVP-caliber season in his first season in Philly with a three-touchdown performance to go along with 118 rushing yards on 15 carries.
After not throwing the ball much so far in the playoffs, Philadelphia’s passing game shined in the win over Washington.
Hurts completed 20 of 28 passes for 246 yards and one touchdown with a quarterback rating of 110.1
Wideout A.J. Brown led the Eagles in receiving with six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Dallas Goedert added seven catches for 85 yards.
NFL Defensive Player of the Year candidate Zack Baun led the team in tackles with 12 and forced and recovered a fumble.
Overall, the Eagles forced four turnovers, including three on defense. Quinyon Mitchell recorded his second interception of the postseason late in the fourth quarter on Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

6:04 PM / January 26, 2025 Saquon Barkley scored his third rushing touchdown of the game midway through the fourth quarter to give Philadelphia a commanding 48-23 lead over Washington in the NFC title game.
A turnover on downs by Washington on the previous possession set up Philadelphia’s touchdown.
Eagles edge rusher Nolan Smith sacked Jayden Daniels on fourth-and-11 for a loss of nine yards to help the Eagles regain possession.
5:50 PM / January 26, 2025 Jalen Hurts scored his third rushing touchdown of the game to extend Philadelphia’s lead to 41-23 with 12:24 left in the fourth quarter.
Two of three Hurts’ touchdowns came on the “Brotherly Shove.” The play was giving Washington plenty of problems on the goal line, and it got to the point where it appeared Philadelphia was toying with them.
The Commanders were called for multiple penalties before Hurts scored.
5:41 PM / January 26, 2025 The Eagles’ defense forced its second turnover of the game at the end of the third quarter.
Linebacker Oren Burks, who’s filling in for injured linebacker Nakobe Dean, forced running back Austin Ekeler to fumble the ball after hauling in a pass from Jayden Daniels.
Zack Baun, a candidate for NFL Defensive Player of the Year, recovered the ball to set the Eagles up at midfield.
Baun forced a fumble earlier in the game.

5:28 PM / January 26, 2025 The Commanders aren’t going away.
Jayden Daniels scored a 10-yard rushing touchdown to make it a 34-23 game with 5:01 left in the third quarter. Daniels then tossed a pass to Olamide Zaccheaus to convert the two-point conversion.
Daniels has been no stranger to leading Washington to comeback wins all season. He led Washington to four comeback wins this season, including one over the Eagles after the team lost Jalen Hurts to a concussion in the first quarter.
5:21 PM / January 26, 2025 Injury Update: RB Kenneth Gainwell is being evaluated for a concussion.

5:20 PM / January 26, 2025 Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter was down on the field getting looked at by trainers after Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. carried the ball for six yards.
Carter walked off the field slowly and was spotted back on the field after the commercial break.
5:15 PM / January 26, 2025 Jalen Hurts scored his second touchdown of the game on a 9-yard touchdown run to help the Eagles take a commanding 34-15 lead with 8:58 left in the third quarter.
Hurts completed passes to Dallas Goedert and A.J. Brown on the four play scoring drive.
5:10 PM / January 26, 2025 Jordan Davis isn’t known for being a pass rusher, but he picked a good time to come away with likely the biggest sack of his NFL career.
The Eagles had just gone three-and-out to start the second half, setting up the Commanders to make it a one-possession game.
Davis had other plans. The young Georgia defensive tackle beat his man and sacked Jayden Daniels for a loss of 12 yards, which made it third-and-long for Washington.
The Commanders then punted the ball on fourth down after Daniels’ check-down to Austin Eckler came way short of the sticks.
5:01 PM / January 26, 2025 Eagles center Cam Jurgens, who was questionable for the game with a back injury, replaced Landon Dickerson to start the second half.
Dickerson is questionable to return to the game with a knee injury, according to the TV broadcast.
4:19 PM / January 26, 2025 The Eagles lead the Commanders, 27-15, at halftime in the NFC championship game at Lincoln Financial Field.
Running back Saquon Barkley got things started for the Eagles with a 60-yard touchdown on the first offensive play of the game for Philadelphia. Barkley finished the first half with two touchdowns and 85 rushing yards on nine attempts.
Philadelphia’s No. 1 ranked defense forced a turnover in the first quarter that led to one of Barkley’s touchdowns. Linebacker Zack Baun punched the ball out of the hands of Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown, and safety Reed Blankenship recovered the fumble. The Eagles’ special team forced another turnover late in the first half.
Eagles running back Will Shipley forced a fumble on Washington returner Jeremy McNichols and running back Kenny Gainwell recovered the ball.

Jalen Hurts had an efficient first half. He completed 12 of his 18 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown with a 100.2 quarterback rating.
Hurts tossed his touchdown at the end of the first half to wideout A.J. Brown to make it a 27-12 game. Brown leads the Eagles in receiving with four catches for 61 yards and his touchdown.
Jake Elliott’s 2024 struggles continued as he missed a 54-yard field goal in the second quarter.
Washington capitalized on Elliott’s miss and quarterback Jayden Daniels hooked up with wideout Terry McLaurin for a 36-yard touchdown pass to make it 14-12. The Commanders went for two but their attempt failed.
4:24 PM / January 26, 2025 Jalen Hurts scored a touchdown on the “Brotherly Shove,” to give the Eagles a 20-12 lead late in the second quarter of the NFC title game. The Birds tried to do it again on the two-point conversion but it failed.
After the touchdown, Washington cornerback Marshon Lattimore was called for unnecessary roughness for pushing Eagles wideout A.J. Brown, which set up Philadelphia on the 1-yard line.
Hurts’ touchdown was set-up by a pass interference call on Lattimore on a pass intended for DeVonta Smith in the end zone.
The Commanders will get the ball back with less than two minutes left in the half.
4:06 PM / January 26, 2025 Terry McLaurin hauled in a 36-yard touchdown pass from Jayden Daniels to make it 14-12 midway through the second quarter. Washington’s two-point conversion attempt failed.
The Commanders capitalized and made it a one-possession game after Jake Elliott missed a 54-yard field goal.

3:59 PM / January 26, 2025 The Eagles had the chance to take a two-possession lead in the second quarter, but Jake Elliott missed a field goal from 54 yards out.
Elliott has been reliable for most of his Eagles career, but he’s been shaky in the 2024 season.
Elliott had his worst season kicking field goals from 50 yards plus this season. He went 1-for-7 on the year.
3:49 PM / January 26, 2025 Zane Gonzalez kicked his second field goal of the game to make it, 14-6, with 14:42 left in the second quarter. He booted it in from 46 yards.
Earlier in the drive, the Commanders converted on a fake punt from their own 31-yard line to extend the series.
3:34 PM / January 26, 2025 Two touches, two touchdowns for Saquon Barkley.
The Eagles capitalized on a turnover and Barkley scored his second touchdown of the day with a 4-yard touchdown run to extend Philadelphia’s lead to 14-3.
A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert each hauled in catches on the drive.
3:31 PM / January 26, 2025 The Eagles’ defense forced the first turnover of the game after Saquon Barkley sent the Linc into a frenzy.
After Washington wide receiver Dyami Brown caught a pass from quarterback Jayden Daniels, Eagles linebacker Zack Baun punched the ball out of his hands and forced a fumble. Safety Reed Blankenship then fell on the ball to recover it.
The Eagles took over with great field position at midfield.
3:22 PM / January 26, 2025 Saquon Barkley wasted no time finding the end zone against the Commanders after they took the lead.
Barkley scored on a 60-yard touchdown run on a toss to make it a 7-3 game with 7:39 left in the first quarter.
The long touchdown runs have become common in Barkley’s first season with the Eagles. He had two long touchdown runs in last weekend’s divisional-round win over the Rams.
3:18 PM / January 26, 2025 The Washington Commanders got on the board first in the NFC championship against the Eagles.
Zane Gonzalez booted in a 34-yard field goal to make it 3-0 over the Eagles with 7:57 left in the first quarter after an 18-play drive where the Commanders converted on fourth down twice.
Head coach Dan Quinn had a chance to go for it on 4th-and-3 from Philadelphia’s 16-yard line but decided to settle for a field goal. They went 2-for-2 on fourth down on the drive and went 2-for-5 on third down.
Former Eagles Olamide Zaccheaus and Zach Ertz each had two catches on the opening drive.
2:38 PM / January 26, 2025 Eagles center Cam Jurgens is active for Philadelphia’s NFC championship game against the Washington Commanders today.
Jurgens, who is dealing with an injured back, worked out on the field but isn’t expected to play. Landon Dickerson practiced at center this week and took snaps before the game. Dickerson is expected to start at center, with Tyler Steen at left guard.

12:50 PM / January 26, 2025 Super Bowl-winning quarterback Nick Foles was named Eagles’ honorary captain for the NFC championship game.
The newly retired Eagle said he’s excited to be back at the Linc and watch the team play, especially because of his fond memories during the NFC championship game in 2018.
“There was nothing ever like it,” Foles said. “I’ve never experienced anything like that in my life. It was amazing.”
So he asked fans to do the same on Sunday, six years later, against the Commanders.
“Bring the energy, be rowdy, yell those Eagles chants, and of course, fly Eagles fly,” he said.
