Former teammate points out Ronaldo’s work after retirement

Former player Louis Saha has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will become a coach after deciding to retire from football.

At the age of 39, superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is still maintaining a top level of performance in Arabia as well as in international tournaments. However, it is easy to see that the Portuguese player is no longer able to show the sharpness he had during his years playing in Europe, and it would not be surprising if CR7 said goodbye to his career in the near future.

Discussing the story, Louis Saha, Ronaldo’s former teammate at Man Utd, said that the owner of 5 Golden Balls could become the next great player to successfully turn into a coach, like Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid and Zinadine Zidane at Real Madrid.

Speaking to CSDB.gg, Saha said: “Cristiano has the potential to be a very successful coach, we have seen his energy and passion. He will have the hunger of Diego Simeone and the charisma of Zinedine Zidane. Combine that with all the experience of working under Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Sir Alex Ferguson, the knowledge he brings is incredible.”

Saha affirms Ronaldo can become a talented coach in the future

The former Frenchman added: “He is not only good at football but also a role model for how to live and achieve goals. Ronaldo could become a coach or even a club president. What he has done is admirable. Although he makes mistakes like everyone else, he never stops trying.”

It is worth noting that Ronaldo once left open the possibility of becoming a coach after retiring. In an interview with World Soccer in 2017, he revealed: “I think about it a lot. Right now, I don’t want to be a coach. In a few years, people will probably say that I have the qualities, but I don’t want to do it.

It’s too complicated. Right now I just want to focus on football, my passion. No one knows the future. In five, six, seven years, maybe I’ll change my mind and become a coach.”

Returning to the present, Ronaldo is still playing at Al Nassr and will prepare with his teammates for the Arab Super Cup semi-final.
