Speaking on the Benja Me Mucho podcast, Nottingham Forest defender Murillo confirmed he is open to joining Premier League sides Arsenal, Liverpool or Man City.
Murillo made 32 Premier League appearances last season, helping Forest avoid relegation to the Championship following his £15m move from Brazilian side Corinthians in the summer of 2023.
His impressive performances have attracted the attention of Chelsea, who are looking for a new centre-back following Thiago Silva’s departure from Stamford Bridge. However, Nottingham Forest currently value Murillo at around £70m.
“I don’t know if it’s £70m, but I know there are a lot of clubs interested in me,” Murillo said on the Benja Me Mucho podcast.
“I had a dream of playing in the Premier League for a long time. I thought: ‘I will go to Nottingham Forest, play for a year and then go to a big club.
I could choose Man City but it would be difficult to play regularly because they have quality players in the squad. Besides, there is Arsenal – a team competing for the Premier League title. I would not rule out Liverpool either, this would be a good opportunity for me to show my football at a big club.
We don’t know anything for sure, the transfer window is open. Anyway, I’ll be back at Nottingham Forest for pre-season. There might be some discussions about whether I’ll stay here or not so there’s a lot of things that can happen, but I feel comfortable.”
